Serving the Fleet: Globe Biomedical Tapped to Build Next-Gen AI for NavalX ⚓

At Globe Biomedical, our expertise in Artificial Intelligence goes beyond vision care. Today, we are proud to announce a new contract funded by NavalX to support our nation's defense. Working as a subcontractor for HII (Huntington Ingalls Industries) and in conjunction with California Baptist University (CBU), we are building something special: the Defence Innovation Navigation Assistant, or DINA.

Accelerating innovation for the warfighter.

So, who is DINA? Think of 'her' as a highly specialized AI assistant that speaks fluent 'DoD.' The military ecosystem is filled with complex acronyms, specific verbiage, and massive amounts of technical data. DINA is custom-built to understand this unique lingo, helping warfighters and analysts assess new technologies faster than ever before.

The goal is simple but critical: remove the labor-intensive grunt work of sifting through documents so our service members can focus on decision-making. By leveraging the same high-level AI capabilities that power our medical diagnostics, we are ensuring that the Navy can identify and adopt life-saving technologies at the speed of relevance.

This collaboration with HII and CBU highlights the dual-use nature of our technology stack. Whether we are protecting vision in a clinic or accelerating innovation at NavalX, Globe Biomedical is committed to using data to solve complex human problems.
